Just had my first kebab from here, very impressed. A cut above anything else I have tried locally. They clearly take their craft very seriously. Home baked flat breads, the donner was nicely seasoned, salad served separately and even the chips were good. Will absolutely be returning.
Tonight was our first time trying Ali’s Kitchen and it was delicious. Food arrived in good time, it was still hot and great portion sizes. Homemade Turkish bread was amazing too. Look forward to visiting the restaurant to dine in!

I should know as I live in London in an area with a very high Turkish community, and have the very best Turkish restaurants in the country on my doorstep. Harringay - if you know you know! No I’m not Turkish so there is no bias here in my review, I’m just a big foodie and lucky to have eaten in the most affluent places and experience flavours from around the world. My palette knows good quality high end food and flavours. Our first time trying from here so we decided to order direct through Alis kitchen online and had no problem with waiting times. We gave it 30 mins before we collected as we were only around the corner and fancied a walk. The food was packaged very well and hot. Please don’t down grade these guys on waiting times like a previous reviewer ordering off of JUST EAT it’s not the restaurants fault you have to wait hours, that’ll be down to JUST EAT or DELIVEROO drivers. But keep in mind the food is cooked fresh to order so if you are a WALK IN then expect a little wait while your food cooks on the coals to perfection. Portion sizes here are very generous, any big burly man will feel satisfied. I ordered the lamb ribs, and was given the meatiest 7 large ribs, my husband had a mix of Chicken shish and kofte and let me tell you the size of the pieces of meat he was given were also huge. The rice and bulgur that came with it was delicious with the flavours of the meat that had been sitting on top seeped into it making it all so tasty. We also ordered a side of Tzatziki which was super fresh and rivalled any Turkish restaurant in London, Harringay. The chilli sauce was also on point I just wish the container for that was a little bigger but that’s because I appreciate a good homemade chilli sauce and it’s never enough for me. The homemade Turkish bread was a nice touch too. In all everything was perfect and we were very full and satisfied. The prices you pay here in my opinion are very reasonable, and match the quality, quantity and taste. Everything was seasoned well and tasty. Do not second guess to eat from here you will not be disappointed. Seriously Ali’s kitchen is up there with the best Turkish restaurants in London and I've tried them ALL. Just appreciate he’s here in st Leonard’s and show him some love Will I be eating from here again - ABSOLUTELY
Wow! We tried this tonight for the first time. Everything was so fresh and delicious. The nicest grilled meats, veg, rice, salad and bread we have had in the UK and we have tried a fair few! Proper authentic, highly recommend!
First time we tried Ali last night 4th March, great food - best koftes I’ve had for ages. Not cheap but way better than the normal doner & kofte
Put trying here off for to long so finally gave it a go ( picked up myself nice and hot) This has to be the freshest most flovoursome food I have had since living and trying take outs in Hastings for 20 years. Portion sizes Exellent. Staff very friendly And the food even the chips were just spot on. We tried lots of different bits off the menu and looking forward to trying more. Well done alis kitchen I will be recommending you to family and friends!
Wow!! New meze & grill - opened yesterday (28/6/23) Very smart and clean restaurant. Friendly and welcoming staff. Mixed grill and cheesy chips this evening for me, was absolutely fantastic. The chips were crispy and tasty, the meat was juicy and loaded with flavour. Fresh salad, homemade bread, homemade sauces (the chilli sauce and garlic mayo - the best I've had for a long time) Seriously Impressive new local restaurant, I strongly advise any kebab lover to eat here very soon
The best lamb doner in Hastings! Tried it with my son for the first time the other day. The lamb doner was perfect, lovely flavour , sliced thin and a slight crisp bite to it. The best kebab I've had in ages
